According to no-smoke.org, Maryland has passed a 100% smoke free state law that prohibits smoking in places of employment, restaurants and bars.State law prohibits smoking in restaurants.The Clean Air Act of 2007 prohibits smoking in indoor areas open to the public, such as bars, restaurants, and private clubs. Waivers may be granted if an owner can show that compliance would cause undue financial hardship or if there are other factors that make compliance unreasonable.  Waivers will not be allowed after January 31, 2011.  Effective February1, 2008.
